I have helped many families moving to Omaha. Contact me if you have any questions about the Omaha area or need help buying a home.

I’ve compiled a list of resources whether you are looking for an elementary school, high school, or college.

Disclosure: As a real estate agent, I’m required to abide by the Fair Housing Act and the REALTORS® Code of Ethics. Because of this, I will not be offering any personal opinions (positive or negative) on schools or school districts. This is to prevent steering a potential buyer to certain neighborhoods or communities.

K-12 Public School Districts

The K-12 school system is a little confusing for newcomers. The Omaha area has over 10 different public school districts (and the City of Omaha covers 5 different school districts).

Here is a boundary map of the different school districts.

Omaha Public Schools

Westside Community Schools (a.k.a. District 66)

Millard Public Schools

Elkhorn Public Schools

Papillion La-Vista Public Schools

Bellevue Public Schools

Bennington Public Schools

Ralston Public Schools

Gretna Public Schools

DC West Community Schools

Springfield Platteview Community Schools

Plattsmouth Community Schools

If you decide to buy a home, the school district you live in will impact your taxes. I created a page dedicated to property taxes to break this down in more detail.

Catholic Elementary Schools

Catholic High Schools

Nonsectarian Private Schools
