Creighton University is a Jesuit, Catholic university located near downtown Omaha. It’s often rated as the #1 university in the midwest by U.S. News & World Report.
Creighton University was founded in 1878, as one of 28 Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States. Creighton is located just north of Downtown Omaha and west of the NoDo District.
The school admits over 8,000 undergraduate, graduate, and professional students yearly.
Creighton is a great source of pride in the Omaha community for both academic and athletic recognition – thousands of locals own season tickets to Creighton Men’s Basketball, played at Omaha’s CHI Health Center Arena.

Freshman Admissions Requirements
- A completed Application for Undergraduate Admission
- Official high school transcript, including the scale on which you were graded, sent directly from your high school
- ACT exam scores (school code, 2444) or SAT I exam scores (school code, 6121)
- A high school guidance counselor evaluation
- A personal statement in which you present yourself, your background, your experiences, and/or your ideas to the Admissions Committee.
- Optional: resume, and/or letters of recommendation written by teachers, coaches, counselors, or mentors.
