REI Just Announced
It looks like the Omaha area is getting its first REI.
Nebraska Crossing owner says outdoor retailer REI will open store there – Omaha World-Herald
The store will be located at Nebraska Crossing Outlets near Gretna. It’s about a 25-minute drive from midtown Omaha.
Currently, the closest REI is in West Des Moines, IA or Kansas City, MO.
When I told my wife the news, her immediate reaction was ‘who cares, when are we getting a Nordstrom?”
Omaha does not have a Nordstrom, Macys, Ikea, etc. If you are interested, I created a complete list of stores Omaha does not have.
